Loving It Forward – What Is It?

Pay It Forward is a popular term for describing a person’s responsibility to help others by paying back the kindness to them in kind rather than the first benefactor. By helping others by way of giving, you may feel free to act on your own ideas and beliefs without feeling guilty or accountable for it. This also applies to actions that have taken place beforehand. There is always some sort of payback when it comes to kindness. Even if you do not repay your kindness directly to the first person, there will always be a way for you to repay the kindness to someone else. The key is learning to be okay with yourself first.

Paying it forward can be done in many different ways depending on how you want to look at the concept. For some people it does not involve feelings but simply doing the right thing because you believe it is the right thing to do. You may want to give to help others because you truly believe that the act of helping someone else is a good thing. You would not feel bad about it. It is part of your nature to want to help. However, other times when you are just simply paying it forward by giving to charity or doing good deeds in order to help out others you may feel guilty about the fact you are paying it forward.

Many times when you are paying it forward the concept that you are actually contributing to a chain that spreads itself throughout the universe is not as appealing to you. For this reason, you may be reluctant to take part in the chain. There is a simple explanation for this reluctance. When you are hesitant to put forth the energy needed to really make a difference in the world around you by becoming involved with the ripple effect of giving then you are limiting your potential to truly live out your greatness. You are not going to live out your greatness when you try to avoid it. You will have to experience it if you want to know for yourself how amazing life is.

How many times have you heard, “Actions speak louder than words”? The same could be said for the concept of kindness around the world. Actions speak much more loudly than words. If you are committed to putting forth the effort to make a difference and make a positive difference in the lives of others by becoming a leader or a volunteer, you will have to experience the actions. By taking action, you will find out if the effort you are putting forth is truly sincere. You will also find out if the impact you are making on the lives of those around you is profound enough to motivate you to continue.

Many people say that actions speak louder than words. If you are committed to changing the world one ribbon at a time, you must first feel good about doing each ribbon. You must feel good about becoming part of the ripple effect of kindness around the world. This is one way to truly live your greatness.

The phrase “I am a magnet” really resonates with me. I have found it to be true often. When I am motivated to do a good deed or a good job, I think “I am a magnet.” This state of being can produce wonderful changes in anyone’s life.

Paying it forward to others is not about receiving something or feeling great, it is about giving of yourself. By paying forward you will receive. You will be moved to act even more strongly because you feel compelled to do so. This state of motivation, when you are truly motivated, will bring about wonderful acts of kindness. As you practice the act of giving you will discover a depth of gratitude and you will feel good deeds moving through you to others.

Paying it forward is a conscious decision that you make each day. When you move into this consciousness you will be amazed at the different benefits you will see each day. The expression “you are a magnet” is one that I have heard many times and it has inspired so many people to find their own way of paying it forward to others. You will find that once you have practiced this conscious act of kindness for a while you will get better at it and your impact on people will increase as well.
